A training course conducted by City Energy Pte. Ltd. (as Trustee of City Energy Trust) and approved by the Energy Market Authority (EMA).

Introduction

This course covers the current technical and safety requirements for maintenance work on gas appliances and turn-on of gas supply as directed by the gas retailer. It is a mandatory requirement for a person who is interested in becoming a Licensed Gas Service Worker (Restricted). This course is one of the requirements to apply for a Gas Service Worker Licence (Restricted) issued by the Energy Market Authority (EMA).

Course Objectives

Participants will acquire the necessary technical and safety knowledge for good town gas and natural gas maintenance practices. Successful completion of this Gas Service Worker (Restricted) Course is one of the requirements stipulated by EMA for any person who wishes to be a Licensed Gas Service Worker (Restricted).

Application for Gas Service Worker Licence (Restricted)

Course participants who have successfully completed this course and wish to proceed to apply for Gas Service Worker Licence (Restricted) with the Energy Market Authority (EMA) must satisfy EMA’s requirements. Currently, apart from successful completion of the Gas Service Worker (Restricted) Course, one must also have at two years’ relevant experience in gas installation and maintenance work.

Certification

Participants who have attended at least 75% of the training sessions and successfully passed the end of course practical and theory tests will be issued with the Certificate of Successful Completion.
