City Energy’s Electric Vehicle (EV) charging solutions arm, Go by City Energy, has signed a Service Level Agreement with property developer Sim Lian Group, to install EV charging infrastructure at the recently completed Treasure at Tampines, Singapore’s largest private condominium to date.
During the initial phase, two AC and two DC chargers will be installed in the 29-block development which comprises a total of 2,203 units. Additional chargers will be deployed in the next phase to meet the growing needs of residents.
The first EV chargers are expected to be operational by the end of February 2024.
With the addition of these charging points to its network, Go has secured exclusive rights to extend its EV charging services to approximately 20,000 carpark lots in private residential and mixed developments.
Perry Ong, CEO of City Energy, said, “We are delighted to partner Sim Lian Group to bring EV charging to residents of Treasure at Tampines. This initiative not only enhances the sustainability of the development, but also contributes to the broader goal of fostering lower carbon transportation solutions.”
He noted that demand for EV charging, especially in the private condominium market in Singapore, is growing as more drivers make the switch to EVs. As such, Go by City Energy will continue to provide EV charging solutions as a service for new and resale private condominiums, mixed developments and commercial buildings.
Go by City Energy announced in April 2022 that it was the first EV charging service provider in Singapore to offer a seamless operational service across Singapore and
Malaysia with just one mobile application. Today, Go by City Energy users in Singapore have access to more than 380 EV charge points in Malaysia.
City Energy also said that it is supplying town gas to Treasure at Tampines, providing reliable and continuous piped gas to residents.
