City Gas Pte Ltd, as Trustee of City Gas Trust, announced today that the gas tariff for households will be reduced by 1.5% from 21.36 cents per kilowatt hour (kWh) to 21.04 cents per kWh with effect from 1 Feb 2013.
This follows the drop in tariffs in the last two quarters of 0.84% (1 Nov 2012 to 31 Jan 2013), and 2.8% (1 Aug to 31 Oct 2012), respectively.
City Gas reviews the gas tariffs based on guidelines set by the Energy Market Authority (EMA), the gas industry regulator. The revised gas tariffs, which have been approved by EMA to take effect from 1 Feb 2013, are as follows:
