Town Gas Tariff Revision For the Period 1 May 2012 to 30 July 2012

City Gas Pte Ltd, as Trustee of City Gas Trust, announced today that the gas tariff for households will increase by 3.3%, from 21.45 cents per kilowatt hour (kWh) to 22.16 cents per kWh with effect from 1 May 2012. The increase in the average town gas bill for households will range from 35 cents a month for 1-room HDB flats to 61 cents a month for 5-room HDB flats.

Gas tariffs are reviewed quarterly and adjusted in line with changes in the cost of fuel for gas production. The tariffs increase for the coming quarter is due to higher fuel prices. The average fuel price over the last three months (in S$ terms) has increased by 9.1%.

City Gas reviews the gas tariffs based on guidelines set by the Energy Market Authority (EMA), the gas industry regulator. The revised gas tariffs, which have been approved by EMA to take effect from 1 May 2012, are as follows:
