City Gas Pte Ltd, as Trustee of City Gas Trust, announced today that the gas tariff for households will decrease by 3.8% or 0.67 cent per kilowatt hour (kWh), from 17.47 cents per kWh to 16.80 cents per kWh for the period 1 February to 30 April 2016. This is due to a 16% drop in fuel costs compared to the previous quarter.
City Gas reviews the gas tariffs based on guidelines set by the Energy Market Authority (EMA), the gas industry regulator. The revised gas tariffs below have been approved by EMA:
