City Gas Pte Ltd, as Trustee of City Gas Trust, announced today that the gas tariff for households will increase by 1.5% or 0.25 cent per kilowatt hour (kWh), from 16.60 cents per kWh to 16.85 cents per kWh for the period 1 November 2016 to 31 January 2017. This is mainly due to a 6.3% increase in fuel costs compared with the previous quarter.
City Gas reviews the gas tariffs based on guidelines set by the Energy Market Authority (EMA), the gas industry regulator. The revised gas tariffs below have been approved by EMA:
